Sending you all some shine
I’ve been a special Ed teacher for 8 years and have worked with many Trents. Im sure you experience the same silence I do about these experiences. No one wants to hear it, so you just don’t talk about it. Bravo to you for starting a podcast for the voiceless, both our level 3 aut babies and friends but also for their caretakers who have no ears except each other and our therapists. Shout out to all the severe disabilities teachers keeping therapists in business. As for you, Trents family, keep it going because I wait wait wait anxiously for each episode so I can hear my kindred spirits tell me stories that let me know they get it.
Just amazing!
As a mother of a son with autism, this podcast gives me hope! Trent is so fun to watch with his drawings, and i admire his parents so much! Thank you for producing this podcast!
Amazing podcast!!
I am a third year high school special Ed teacher and this podcast moves me in so many ways! I love hearing about how your family lovingly deals with the good and the hard times with Trent. I have a student that reminds me of Trent (a 18 year old who is very violent at times and can’t express his needs). My goal is to give the parents at least 7 hours of the day without them having to get “that call”. I’ve been punched all over and had to sit as all my things I bought for my class got ripped down and destroyed as I waited out his rage. The destruction is nothing compared to the gratefulness the parents have for just finding someone that allows their child in their class. I hope others can hear this podcast and if not find ways to help parents of children with ASD then they can at least get awareness of how hard it can really be.
Love love love!
I am actually a Spotify listener but I wanted to come over to this app and leave a review to show my support for this podcast. I am amazed at the positivity, humor, and humility of this family. This should be required listening for ALL people!!! It helps to humanize people living with Autism as well as their loved ones. Please keep it up!!! Love to you all :)
Amazing Insight
Thank you all so much for this podcast. Me and my wife have a 2 year old boy that was recently diagnosed with autism. This podcast has been a God send for me! Thank you for everything you do! It’s nice to hear genuine insight!
Love and recommend the heck out of this!!!
As a momma of a beautiful and incredibly difficult child with ASD this podcast resonates in my heart and soul so profoundly. I cannot recommend it enough! I have genuinely looked forward to the new episodes with great anticipation. I love hearing another families perspective on life in general, but also the unique love that is formed in a family learning to live and thrive with someone who has ASD. I also feel like I’m beginning to learn more of who Trent is as and individual and how far he’s come! Your hard work has paid off and I’m so proud of how each of you handle yourselves personally and professionally. Like Mitch said, the quality of production across all the platforms are phenomenal. I love the heck out of you guys!!! PS Grandma Ellen had the same EXACT reaction to Logan’s diagnosis. Couldn't stop cackling. This podcast has all the feels ❤️❤️❤️❤️
More, please!
I love this family!!! I appreciate their realism, their struggles and their joys! I highly recommend this podcast to anyone. I wish they could put out a new episode every day!
Honest and open story
As a psychologist who works with individuals on the spectrum and an older sister of two adults with ASD, I appreciate hearing this family’s perspective. They don’t shy away from a lot of the difficulties but also highlight the joys and Trent’s humanity. Highly recommend for people interested in understanding the family perspective of an autism diagnosis.
Love it!
Been listening on Spotify, lame I can’t review there but I’ve really been enjoying hearing the stories and also the struggles from your family’s perspective, it brings a lot of hope knowing how far awareness and assistance programs have come in the last 20 years. Also on the technical side of things, this is produced SO well! I’ve heard podcasts with millions of views where the audio just sounds like crap, but you guys are doing a fantastic job with it!
Genuine
I love the feeling of this podcast. I love that they don’t sugarcoat and they tell it how it is… there is so much raw emotion and I feel like a part of the conversation. This podcast is so valuable to me. I have a four year old son who has level 3 autism. I had him at 20 years old and as a young mother I was (and am) scared for what the future might bring. It gives me some warmth to know that everything is going to be okay.
A look from the inside
Such a genuine and honest discussion about families with a loved one who has ASD!
Real life.
Thoughtful, honest and funny. So interesting to hear their perspective of life with Trent. More people need to hear these stories to help understand life with a loved one who has special needs.
